Review: Pure Synergy
October 25th, 2008
This is one of the most robust formulas I’ve seen in a green drink, with a HUGE portion of spirulina, chlorella, and algae (bladderwrack, dulse, kelpl) together with green grass juices (barley, alfalfa, parseley, spinach, kale). Together these ingredients represent over 4.5 grams of each serving. Those are great numbers! Next on the list are the “fillers” and fibers, which include sprouted millet and Quinoa. Not bad choices if you want to include some bulk while also keeping the quality high. There are some fruits, including apple, blueberry, raspberry, and papaya. The herbal additions are an interesting and unique blend of mushrooms, root herbs and healing plants. Some highlights include Reishi, Shitake and Maitake mushrooms; Astragalus, Teng Kuei root, and ginger (among many others); plus nettle, burdock, yellow dock, and dandelion (many of my favorite botanicals). This mixture is not sweetened and it tastes pretty green and earthy–so you probably want to mix it with fruit juice or vegetable juice. The manufacturing is all in-house and the quality of this formula is among the top on my list. The price is not the best, but for the quality of this product, it’s not bad at $4.24 per ounce.
Compare to Emerald Balance, which has a similar price tag and robust mixture but a different combination. Also, compare to Vital Greens, which has some similarities in its formulation, but a higher price.
Manufacturer’s Description
Pure Synergy’s cleansing and regenerative grass juices, algae, seaweeds and enzymes are combined with protective fruits and berries and restorative, adaptogenic herbs and mushrooms to enhance natural detoxification and the radiant energy that results from genuine well-being. Unlike many companies, we never add fillers or bulking agents (such as whole grasses, apple fiber or pectin, rice bran or flax), which dilute nutritional potency and are a potential source of genetically modified material. Pure Synergy is special not only because of its extraordinary formula, but also because we meticulously cultivate and protect all the precious constituents contained in it.

You can’t go wrong w/ Pure Synergy. As my morning drink, I mix it w/ high quality water, Gary Nulls Aloe juice, and a packet of Tangerine Emergen-C. Simply amazing, and mighty powerful. The energy rush is similiar to a shot of expresso,no joking! Vitamineral Green is another winner, but the taste is a little strong. Do yourself a favor and try the Pure Synery. You will be amazed!!

Pure Synergy is truly the most amazing superfood, offering unparalleled quality anywhere. There is simply no way to provide this spectrum and quality without cost, but in comparison to both the other products mentioned, check out the number of ingredients. The certified organic list, the absence of total filler ingredients of any kind (cereal grass rather than grass juice, no chia, flax, bran, pectin, psyllium, unsprouted grains or beans, etc) glass packaging, freeze drying, etc, etc. The only way you can purchase this level of quality for this price is utilizing a “direct to consumer” business model. Once you try some, there won’t be any going back to the many inferior products! The tested ORAC value for those wondering about servings of vegetables and fruits is 3,035 ORAC Units (averaged) per 11.8 gram serving size, which is substantially more than contained in 100 grams of blueberries!! Do yourself a health service and check it out!
