Review: Tony Robbins Green Drink (Pure Energy Greens with MSM)

Tony Robbin’s greens product, like most things Tony produces, uses a no-nonsense approach with a focus on what works. It’s one of the most simple formulations I’ve seen and, in many ways, one of the best. It has no fillers and focuses on the “big greens,” grasses, alfalfa, broccoli powder, spinach powder, and kelp. There are no special herbs and no flavorings. The only other thing you’ll get is a healthy dose of MSM, which is a type of sulfite that your body needs for healthy joints. It’s great for controlling pain and general health…and most Americans are deficient in it. Overall, this is a great formula for anyone wanting the essentials without a lot of other ingredients and at $3.23 per ounce, it’s a great value.

Compare with Perfectly Healthy Mega Greens.

  1. If I wanted to do a cleanse with this drink (i.e. no food just the green drink) for a couple of days would that be recommended? If not, what green drink would you recommend?

  2. Tiff, I’m not sure what your goal is, so it’s difficult to make a suggestion. If you want to cleanse your colon and digestive system, then I would not recommend using this or any other green drink as the main cleansing element. Although the Greens Today formula has some cleansing ingredients that might work, but I’d recommend a true colon cleansing system if that’s your goal.

If your goal is to cleanse your blood, then look for products with herbs like milk thistle, beet root powder, taro root, garlic extract, burdock root…to name just a few.

If your goal is to lose weight, then I’d actually suggest replacing one or two meals each day with your chosen green drink (Tony’s is fine for this) and keeping this up for a week or two. However, if you keep this up for more than a couple weeks, then I recommend a green drink that also has some protein in it. See the product roundup article for more info on this.

  3. I would like to order all day energy greens. where to purchase?

I hope this is the same Tony I met at Dr. Steenblock’s in Mission Viejo Ca.

    Thank you.

  4. Are the Green Drinks that are listed in bold the ones that you recommend? Do you feel they are the best/healthiest/greatest value for the money?

    Thank you.

  5. Michael,
The ones in bold are simply featured reviews…to draw your attention to them. These are not recommendations per se.

  6. Francesca, use the links at the bottom of our review to purchase on, where you’ll get some of the best prices around.

  7. Hi,

Have you ever reviewed Ultimate Greens with MSM? I found it on Amazon in trying to find a product comparable to Tony Robbins Product at better price with the same effects. I feel sometimes you do pay for a name. So very curious if this product is comparable but can’t find listed ingredients to compare.

    Thank you,

  8. I am looking for a total vegetable green drink with a flavoring but no fruit sugar…Any suggestions.
