Review: Progressive VegeGreens

review, progressive vegegreensProgressive VegeGreens is one of those mixtures that puts everything and the kitchen sink in. That’s not a bad thing. For one thing it serves as a complete daily vitamin/mineral supplement. It also gives you some great botanical supplements that you might not otherwise find or purchase separately. In this case, that includes things like olive leaf, resveratrol, milk thistle, ginseng, dandelion and nettle. All terrific additions to a green drink.

Not surprisingly, there are small amounts of these more exotic ingredients. The bulk of this mixture consists of the usual suspects: Grasses, alfalfa, and Spirulina. As bulking and anti-caking agents, VegeGreens adds Organic Lecithin and brown rice. Add up all the vegetable powders and you have a substantial amount of things like kale, cauliflower, broccoli, beet root, spinach and carrot. Fruits are prominent in this mixture too and feature acerola (a type of cherry that’s high in vitamin C) and blueberry.

In the end, this is a strong mixture with plenty of great ingredients at a reasonable price of around $3.84 per ounce. Compare with Green Vibrance, Living Fuel, and Vital Greens.

  1. This product does give you a lot of more energy, I am eating less then before for sure, but even with a half scoop I”m getting a lot of flatulence, really smelly. Is it the pea component ? Has anyone experienced this too ?

  2. I am considering buying the Vege All in One 2kg for $120 CDN. The nutrition store I go to (popeyes) evidently has an exclusive deal that makes them push their products to practically all their customers all the time. My question to you is that from an unbiased standpoint, I am looking for a well balanced drink, that can aid in increasing my servings of vegetables, how does this fair in comparison to what is out there on the market.

  3. I have just bought Vegegreens and notice on the Cautions section “or for use beyond 12 weeks”. Does this mean that you shouldn’t use it for more than twelve weeks at a time? Thank you. Linda
