There is so much manipulation of the press and scientific community these days around health and wellness. Big corporate interests want you to believe what supports their corporate agenda and they’ll manipulate the facts surrounding your foods. Certain foods end up getting a bad reputation for being “bad for you” when they are really good for you if eaten in “normal” quantities. Here are three good foods that have suffered from bad press:

What are the best oils you can use for cooking, salads, and general consumption? Here’s a quick overview of some of the best:
- Krill Oil: Better than any other fish oil for Omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and minerals. Plus, krill oil is sustainable, since those little shrimp multiply by the billions.
- Flaxseed Oil: One of the best sources of Omega-3 fatty acids, flaxseed oil is tasty enough that you can use is on salads and on veggies. Just be sure to get it refrigerated and keep it cold.
- Olive Oil: Yes, the old stand-by is still one of the best oils you can use for cooking and topping foods. Olive oil is an excellent source of fatty acids and antioxidants and it’s easy to cook with. Use it in place of any other cooking oil.

With all the vitamins, minerals and other super health products out there, it can be difficult to decide which ones are the most important to include in your regimen…especially since most of us have limited budgets and have to choose the top health supplements from the rest. While it’s difficult to choose the best health products that apply to everyone equally, we can point out a few of the supplements that you should seriously consider keeping in your regular health program. So here are the top three health supplements for general purposes:
- Co-Q10: One of the most important health supplements, this enzyme helps your cells function properly and resist disease. Most Americans are low in CoQ10.
- Omega-3s: Whether you choose krill, salmon or other fish oils, getting your Omega-3s is essential to healthy circulation, heart functions, and breakdown of other fats in the body.
- Green Drink: A good green drink powder will give you a range of nutritional elements in a bio-available form that will keep your system healthy and strong. Nothing beats a quality green drink for easy, complete nutritional supplementation (except juicing your own veggies every day).

What’s the number one tool for effective weight loss? We’ll…we’ll give you three…and if you use them together, you will certainly get the best of your excess pounds.
- The first and foremost practice for effectively controlling your weight is to control your portions. Nothing will affect your weight more dramatically than reducing the amount you eat at meals. Try the 80% full rule, where you leave the table when you are 80% full and never go to 100%.
- Next, you need to STOP eating certain foods and here is the short list: anything with high fructose corn syrup (like sodas), anything with nitrates and nitrites (think processed meat), and wheat flour (yep, you got it, cut down on the breads because they convert into sugar in your body).
- Finally, get lots of super nutrition from greens, green drinks and veggies. Nutrition alone will help your body control weight, but combined with these other two ideas, you’ll be in top shape in no time!

The first two are essential for energy production in the body, while Ginseng is an adaptogenic herb that helps increase energy naturally through improved circulation and liver support. Why do you think the Bloody Mary is typically a morning drink? Because it’s been known for ages that tomato juice has vitamins and minerals that help you recover from a hangover…of course, drinking vodka the morning after is probably not a good idea. But a good Virgin Mary is a great health tonic…and not just for those bitten by the dog. But for health, let’s take it up a notch…add a green drink powder, tumeric, a touch of garlic oil, liquid vitamin B complex, and some cayenne pepper and you have a delicious Healthy Mary that will cure any hangover and then some!

The egg is no longer the bad boy of health and beauty. Those days are over! Now, it’s back with a vengeance as recent studies have shown that it’s a healthy food that will not increase body fat.
Eggs contain amino acids that help restore antibodies and build hormones, plus vitamins, minerals, lipids and antioxidants (beta-carotene for one).
The protein that eggs provide is highly digestible and offers the body amino acids for increased muscle mass. It makes a great substitute for red meat. But be careful about frying your eggs in butter or oil, as that increases calories and fats.

Sweating has been used for centuries for health and wellness and it’s every bit as viable today as it was hundreds of years ago. The Native American cultures used sweat lodges for health and spiritual transformation and today’s health spas feature hot, dry saunas as part of a health routine. Sweating clears toxins from your organs, and helps your body’s systems (especially endocrine and cardio-vascular) to stay in shape. Just be sure to stay in long enough to really sweat, but not too long to cause dizziness or dehydration. Drink lots of liquids during and after.

These days, more and more of our oceans are polluted by toxins that run-off our land masses, or are deliberately dumped from shipping vessels. If you’re worried about the quality of your fish (and you should be), just stick to this basic rule: eliminate the big fish. Generally it’s fish like Swordfish, Tuna, Shark, Orange Roughy, Marlin, and Sea Bass. Stick to the small fish, like Mackerel, Herring, Salmon, Sardine, Whitefish, and Tilapia.

If you are diligent and act swiftly at the first sign of a cold or cough, you can prevent them from taking hold. There are many anti-bacterial remedies that you can use to stop a cold. Just spray or drop liquid St. John’s Wort, liquid Echinacea, and/or propolis into the back of your throat and swish it around with the back of your tongue.
For coughs, take a mega-dose of a green drink with extra vitamin C and B, plus liquid olive leaf extract thrown in. You’ll feel better in no time!

Before you make breakfast and drink that morning coffee, try making yourself a green drink smoothie. Choose your favorite green drink and mix with fresh berries, rice or almond milk and a little maple syrup. You may find that you aren’t even hungry for breakfast. And the nutrition you’ll get is far better than any traditional breakfast you might have eaten.
Try the same idea again in the afternoon. Instead of making a cup of coffee or a snack between lunch and dinner, try mixing a green drink smoothie instead. You’ll get more energy than you would have from a cup of coffee or sweets.

Many people find it difficult to control portions and that’s a key to controlling weight. But if you find that you’re hungry all the time, try filling up on greens. You can eat as much salad and green leafy vegetables as you like –- or even use a green superfood to fill up before you eat. You’ll find it easier to keep the rest of your food quantities under control.

Many ancient alternative health systems believe that each male ejaculation depletes a “fixed amount” of energy stored in our body’s “bank account.” Once it’s used up…that’s it! But modern alternative medicing shows that frequent ejaculation actually strengthens the prostate, increases sperm count, and stimulates hormone production. That’s like getting interest from the bank!

Jumping up and down a few minutes each day can make you look and feel younger. It stimulates your lymphatic system, gets the blood pumping and exercises many internal muscles. Plus, you can’t help feeling like a kid when you jump around like that.
